40 DAYS LATER…
Just several hundred feet away from this microphone lies the one and only abortion facility in the state of North Dakota….the falsely named “Red River Women’s Clinic.” Every week at this facility, a kindergarten-sized classroom is put to death under the tragic pretenses of “Women’s Rights“ making this abortion mill a monument to our failure for not protecting innocent life. Abortions should not take place in this state, period. The 40 Days for Life campaign, which reached a conclusion last night, has once again done a marvelous job trying to achieve just that: end abortions in North Dakota. Hi friends, I’m Scott Hennen, Chairman of the Common Sense Club sounding off. In a minute, the 40 Days for Life Campaign comes to an end, in today’s Common Sense Commentary!
Another 40 Days have passed, with more awareness being raised and more innocent life being spared. Thanks to the 40 Days for Life effort—which ended yesterday after 40 days of faith-based, prayer-centered protest—the national holocaust of abortion will not go unopposed in the state of North Dakota. Their visible presence is critical now, especially considering the hostility this administration has shown to the pro-life cause. David Bereit, founder of the 40 Days for Life campaign, explains the extent of this:
“On Friday, President Obama was speaking at a forum at the George Herbert Walker Bush Presidential Library on volunteerism. And during that forum, he was promoting his serve.gov website, encouraging volunteerism. When you go on to that site and type in the words “Health” and type in the words “Houston, Texas” you can find amongst the listing a recruitment on a taxpayer-funded government website for Planned Parenthood recruiting abortion escorts to oppose 40 Days for Life effort because it’s having such a tremendous impact.”
Some public service that is! Not only are we paying the abortion industry to end innocent human life through government funding and through health care reform proposals, we’re also paying to recruit volunteers who are out there trying to thwart the efforts of people of faith and conscience. It underscores how valuable the 40 Days for Life movement truly is. So common sense kudos to everyone who took part this year. Thanks for standing up for the defenseless.

I would like to say…
Hi Scott,
We are so grateful for your “common sense” and your willingness to present the truth about abortion and the devestating effect it has on our society today. Killing our children and wounding our mothers and fathers is never the answer to those struggling with an untimely pregnancy. Positive, hope-filled solutions such as pregnancy resource centers, adoption options, and maternity homes are local resources available to those in need and are staffed with compassionate and understanding people who will lovingly help each person with their individual situations.
Keep up the great work! We appreciate all that you do to proclaim and promote the truth through the air waves.
